Mission/Background
Being a native of Washington DC, I have always had a love for the Arts, thru Music and Entertainment. I began taking pictures in the 90’s when film photography was the way. I took a sabbatical from photography while focusing on raising my children and being a larger presence in my Community through coaching little league football and mentoring. I returned back to my love of photography in 2016. As I began growing and learning, people began making requests for me to capture them and their events. After capturing my first wedding using a digital format in 2018, I was quite convinced, I could do this professionally. Being a published photographer has opened up many doors. It's a true blessing when I see my work and am always honored to be included in someone else's journey. I am thankful daily for my Loving wife Kateisha, who continues to support my dreams, who keeps me grounded and loved. Love you babe. To my Children Isaiah and Mickhia, I thank GOD for gifting me with your lives. You both make your dad proud. To GOD be the glory for the things HE has done.
Community Action
- I am most proud of the continued Partnership I have with the Howard University School of Business since the Fall of 2021. This opportunity allowed me to provide professional headshots to Howard Freshman and returning business students for their business portfolios and Professional Headshots of Staff. I have also captured numerous events for the Howard School of Business and School of Social Work.
- I created some great partnerships with many Corporate Partners. I am proud to have worked The Association of African American Financial Advisors during their Annual Conference in Arlington Va.
- I have also supported APCO Worldwide. APCO Worldwide is an independent global public affairs and strategic communications consultancy helping leading public and private sector organizations be catalysts for progress.
- I have also supported Students in the IBM Student Pipeline Program through photography.
- Working with the Special Needs community has always been a desire of my heart. This desire led to developing a Partnership with Frontline Community Services, a local Non-Profit dedicated to serving Disabled Adults. This opportunity provided photos for some of the agency's most talented adults and staff. I've also supported Med Star Health in DC through photography as they unveiled their new Vehicles supporting individuals in wheelchairs.
Moving Forward
I am continuing to learn new techniques, through lighting, editing and composition, through attending Conferences and many platforms within social media, Zooms and online classes. Investing in myself is extremely important. I am always open to partner with community agencies that make a difference in people's lives.
Goals
My goal is to leave a legacy of Love, Faith and Family through my creative mind, that will display kindness and patience to all.
